If you enjoy this lite version, do check out our full version.

Singapore Mahjong tile system has 148 tiles, with 3 suits, 7 honor, 4 animal and 8 flower tiles. The scoring system is based on doubling the winnings for every point (or tai) until a maximum of 5. There are no joker tiles.

Like all other Mahjong, what tile a player discards and accepts from other players is very important. And since there are 13 tiles in a hand, Mahjong strategy can be very complex and challenging. At professional level, players even have to keep track of what tiles other players discard.

Because of the combination of the deep analysing and calculation of probability and strategy, and memorising of discarded tiles, this game is considered to be a very effective way to keep old folks from being senile and memory loss.

Young people also enjoy this game to because it is the perfect way for social gathering (with excitement).

If I could, I would rather have the Tile game but since I have this I would like to have lots of tips or a book on how to play the game or if at all possible please replace this game with Mahjong tiles games. Help!!!!!
    Thank You Very Much.

    Carmen –

Mahjong traditionally is a tile based Rummy-like game. Their are a plethora of other “matching” games found on the App Store, but do give this a chance to learn this one too. (Yahoo! Games also offers ‘live’ Mahjong with rules posted which are handy to print-out).

Basically as the game help explains, there are three suits, Characters, Bamboo and Balls. In addition there are Honors which can be only Pong/Gong sets. (3/4 of a kind). The extra tiles are tossed in for scoring are Flowers, Seasons and Animals (SG Bites).

The first “Dealer” is East (Position 1) and the round also begins as East. As non-dealer players Win subsequent hands, the deal progresses around the table (the winds shift). Once everyone has been the East Dealer, the second Round beings as South (2) wind. This continues throughout West (3) and North (4).

You can score points from hand combinations, collections and when lucky enough, matching the Flower/Season and Wind tiles to your seat or the prevalent Round Wind. {You would score double as East dealer during the first East round by pong/gong of the East tiles.

    Good Luck

Just got the lastest update version. can’t save the ‘speed’ in the option. It goes back to the slowest speed when you homed the phone page. Sometime it can’t proceed to the next round when gamed, touched the > symbol it homed again.
